Founder, CEO, and CTO – Dr. Armin Strobel
Dr. Strobel has worked in the field of Unmanned Aerial Systems since 2003 as part of the “Technology Transfer Centre for Aerodynamics, Aircraft and Lightweight Constructions,” which developed target drones for Airbus Military. While at the Technical University of Darmstadt as a PhD candidate he was responsible for the development of a very stable multi-rotor, which won first place in the 2009 European Micro Aerial Vehicle outdoor competition.In his research for his PhD, he focused on swarming UAVs. The result of his research is a framework that allows the definition of high-level objectives for UAV swarms with potential fields and fulfillment reliability of said high-level objectives with a modified Model Predictive Control (MPC) approach. In his most recent research he concentrated on other types of vehicles while applying a similar approach to minimize the collision probability of Autonomous Surface Crafts under extreme conditions.

Haley Dalton
Haley was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland. She graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2019 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She then attended George Brown College in 2020 and graduated with a post-Graduate Certificate in Sport and Event Marketing.
Software Developer – Narmada Balasooriya
Narmada was born and raised in Sri Lanka and moved to Canada in 2019. She graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2023 with a Master of Engineering in Computer Engineering. She worked on VTOL landing zones detection project with the NRC for her M.Eng. thesis and has experience in Software Development and Artificial Intelligence for drones.
