StrobelTEK (formerly named AS Works) has been awarded the Atlantic Canada Aerospace and Defence Association (ACADA) Industry Excellence Recognition Award. This award is presented to companies to “celebrate their success and excellence in the aerospace, defense and security industries.” StrobelTEK was recognized as the Innovation Leader.
StrobelTEK received the award for their work in drone technology, namely through their unique
unmanned aerial systems implementations by building drones with no external moving parts that
can switch between horizontal and vertical directions mid-flight. Products launched with investments in the company include the Sprinter Drone, a Solo Dock – a docking station for an individual Sprinter drone – and a Swarm Dock – a docking station for up to five Sprinter drones.
Additional Sprinter models are reportedly planned and will have alternative propulsion methods.
StrobelTEK has dedicated itself to the development and production of fully autonomous Unmanned Aerial Systems with mobile, vehicle-mountable drones, as well as docking stations for individual drones and swarms of drones. These drones are 100% autonomous and recoverable.
Since its incorporation three years ago, the company has invested heavily in its R+D initiatives, leading to its unique and celebrated products.
The award from the ACADA is a high honor for StrobelTEK. Only four companies are recognized with an Award of Excellence and only one award for Innovation Leader. The company is proud to be the recipient of this award and is excited for the future of the company.
